NFL practice squad rules post COVID-19 : According to the CBA that the NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed to expand practice squad rosters to 16 players, including six veterans (unlimited number of accrued seasons) rather than two, for this season.
Upon receipt of the Personnel Notice at approximately 1:00 p.m., EST, clubs may establish a practice squad players . Claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will expire at 12:00 noon, EST.
