Odell Beckham Jr. Could be Headed to AFC North

The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary could have their hands full this season.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers signed a future Hall of Famer in Patrick Peterson, and many mocks, including my own, predict they'll add another cornerback in the NFL Draft. But they're boosted secondary could have a challenge on their hands if Odell Beckham Jr. joins the AFC North.

When the latest odds came out on OBJ's next team, the AFC North wasn't even involved. The favorites were the New York Jets, who still seem to be in the race. Afterward, were the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets remain at the forefront of the wide receiver race, but right there with them are the Baltimore Ravens - who, offered OBJ a contract.

"The Baltimore Ravens have met with Odell Beckham Jr., they’ve presented him their own offer," Schefter said on ESPN. "It certainly sounds like it’s the Jets, it’s the Ravens, maybe the Rams still would have interest but those, at this point in time, would be the obvious landing spots."

Now, the uncertainty with Lamar Jackson likely puts hesitation on OBJ to sign in Baltimore, but head coach John Harbaugh continues to reiterate that they believe Jackson will be their quarterback this season.

The Super Bowl champion hasn't played since tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Still, he's expected to be 100% and ready to make an impact much like he did for the Los Angeles Rams, catching five touchdowns in eight games in 2021.

If OBJ joined the AFC North, the Steelers cornerbacks would face Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Amari Cooper and Beckham Jr. twice a season.
