PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers foe and Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is reportedly under investigation for shooting a child in the leg in Ohio early this week.

According to Fox19, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies entered the home of Mixon after a "shots fired" call that leg a juvenile with injuries. The child was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. At 11:30 p.m., officers were seen at Mixon's home banging on the door for the homeowner to open. At 1:30 a.m., deputies entered the home after presenting paperwork to the homeowner and were seen searching with flashlights inside.

Last month, Mixon was charged with misdemeanor aggravated menacing, but those charges were later dropped.

Mixon is considered a potential cut for the Bengals this offseason as they look to clear up salary cap space.

No arrest was made at the incident.
