PITTSBURGH — Sad news comes the NFL’s way as Cleveland Browns legend Jim Brown has passed away at the age of 87, his wife confirmed on social media.

Brown, a three-time MVP, was the sixth-overall pick for the Browns in 1957, and went on to be named All-Pro in his first six seasons, and eight times out of his nine years in the league.

Brown finished his Hall of Fame career with 12,312 rushing yards and 106 touchdowns.

Brown started his career at Syracuse, where he was a four-sport athlete in football, basketball, lacrosse and track. He lettered in all four.

Since his retirement from the NFL, no Brown has worn No. 32, and a statue has gone up at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Like the rest of Steelers Nation, All Steelers sends their condolences to Brown’s wife and his family for their loss.
