'A Blessing': Texans QB C.J. Stroud Gets Key Advice From NFL Legend Tom Brady

Houston Texans' rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and his peers received career advice from future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady during the NFLPA Rookie Premier weekend.

HOUSTON — The 2023 quarterback rookie class is entering the league with high of expectations.

Headlined by Carolina Panthers' prospect Bryce Young, each quarterback could take the helm as their team's respective starter at some point during the season, which includes Houston Texans' prospect C.J. Stroud from Ohio State.

But despite the anticipations, each quarterback would have to go through the struggles of adjusting to the NFL. And perhaps, leaning upon the advice from future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady could assist with their development.

Brady recently shared advice on what it takes to be a successful quarterback who can maintain success at the highest level while overcoming adversity. His messages consisted of not becoming complacent regardless of draft status and early career achievements.

Brady spoke to the quarterback rookie class during the NFLPA Rookie Premier weekend, which included lunch and pointers from Hip-Hop musical artist Travis Scott.

"It was just honestly a blessing," Stroud said. "To have two people who took out the time of their day to come and give us wisdom, because they are two people who have done it at the top level in their industries.

"Learn things on the field, off the field, how to conduct yourself, how it's supposed to look in the locker room, the weight room, off the field, business, everything that you can think of, we talked about. It was a blessing."

Brady is widely considered the greatest quarterback in league history. And after 23 seasons, he announced his retirement in February.

The future Hall-of-Famer ended his career with a little over 80,000 career passing yards, seven Super Bowl titles, and three MVPs after beginning his career as a sixth-round pick (No. 199 overall) by the New England Patriots in 2000.

Joining Stroud and Young in attendance were Anthony Richardson and Will Levis, who will carry Brady's advice to the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans, respectively.
