NASHVILLE - There's just over a month until the NFL Draft begins, and with free agency in full swing, teams are reconstructing their rosters for the coming 2023 season. Such is the case for the Tennessee Titans and their rivals in the AFC South.

While it's still too early to know exactly what the opening weekend rosters will look like for the Titans, Colts, Jags, and Texans, it's never too early to examine what the division might look like if the season began today.

In that vein, we'll examine the south division teams on offense.

Who's The No.1 Best Offense

No.1 Jacksonville: The Jags have a franchise quarterback in Trevor Lawrence and are the reigning division champs.

Skill Players: Add up-and-coming running back Travis Etienne, along with the return of Calvin Ridley at receiver along with Zay Jones and Even Engram, and you have an above-average starting skill group.

Offensive Line: Cam Robinson is an improving unit's left tackle and leader. While the rest of this unit could be upgraded, it's good enough to win games with and be division champs again in 2023 if things fall their way.

No.2 Tennessee: I'll get pushback here for sure, and it's not without merit because, for the most part, the Titans current offensive players aren't great, but Tennessee has one thing that neither Houston nor Indianapolis have at the moment, a quarterback.

Despite all the negativity directed toward Ryan Tannehill, he's a better starter than anyone currently on an AFC South roster not named Lawrence. Because this is about how the rosters stand now, he counts as a positive for the Titans at the most critical spot on the field.

Skill Players: Derrick Henry is still the man in Tennessee and the best running back in the league. He can will games in this division if the Titans get the offensive line right. Treylon Burks is a former first-rounder who began to improve as the season went on and he returned from injuries. Though he must be able to stay on the field in '23, he has the potential to be as good as any in this division. Chig Okonkwo showed what he could do as a rookie, and now he must take the next step moving forward for this offense to develop into a potential division winner.

Offensive Line: This is the one area where the Titans are a complete unknown despite the new additions. What would it look like if Andre Dillard, Daniel Brunskill, Nicholas Petite-Frere, and two other individuals could be put on a field today?

So how can I say the Titans are no.2? The quarterback!

No.3 Indianapolis: The Colts don't have their future at quarterback, but they did sign Gardner Minshew, who is good enough to win games, along with having Jonathan Taylor to lean on in the run game.

Skill Players: We mentioned Taylor, one of the league's top backs, and from there, the receivers and tight ends are more of a question mark. Michael Pittman Jr. is their top wideout, along with Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin, who is a good, yet not overly spectacular, assortment. Tylen Granson is the tight end and a potential up-and-comer. Still, this group isn't striking fear in anyone's heart yet.

Offensive Line: Ryan Kelly and Quinton Nelson are as good as any guard-center combo in this division, and their other running mates aren't bad. Collectively they are better here than the Titans ahead of them, but for their quarterback situation.

No. 4 Houston: The Texans were the worst team in the division last season, and while they have added a few more intriguing weapons, they still lack the quarterback play to move out of the bottom spot.

Skill Players: Dameon Pierce is their lead back and a solid player. Ex-Titan Robert Woods, Nico Collins, and Noah Brown are the top targets for the current quarterback, Davis Mills.

Offensive Line: Laremy Tunsil is the leader at left tackle, and the addition of Shaq Mason is a plus. The other three linemates are all solid yet not spectacular players.

Conclusion

While the Jaguars currently have the best offensive lineup, the other three are not separated by much. If not for the current quarterback situations of Tennessee, Indianapolis, and Houston, you could put those three in a hat and draw them out.

The coming season should be an interesting and fun one moving forward.
