Report: Peyton Manning Did Not Want To Play In The NFC East

Despite the presence of quarterback Michael Vick, the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly expressed interest in quarterback Peyton Manning while he was a free-agent, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Manning, who recently signed a mega-contract with the Denver Broncos, was not interested in Philadelphia because he did not want to play in the NFC East, presumably because that is the same devision in which his brother, Eli, plays in. Eli Manning has served as the starting quarterback of the New York Giants for the past eight seasons, and recently led them to a Super Bowl in 2011.

The Washington Redskins, another NFC East team, had expressed interest in Manning when he became a free-agent, but quickly found out they were not being considered by Peyton.
