Bill Parcells On Returning To NFL Coaching: 'I Don't Think So'

Tuesday March 27th, 2012

It's been speculated that this season, with New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton under suspension and the team in the market for a quick fix, that Bill Parcells would come out of retirement and man the sidelines in the Big Easy. But that isn't too likely, as Parcells tells SI's Peter King.

"Do I have the bug?" Parcells said. "I don't think so."

Parcells was the Dallas Cowboys' head coach between 2003 and '06; he hasn't been seen on an NFL sideline since. He briefly held a front-office position with the Miami Dolphins, but no coaching. Parcells said he's had two opportunities to return to coaching, but he had no desire to accept.
