The Anschutz Corporation announced on Tuesday that it is selling the Anschutz Entertainment Group. AEG is the largest sports and entertainment company in the world, with holdings including Staples Center, the Home Depot Center, the Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Galaxy, along with a host of other domestic and international teams and arenas.

AEG is also spearheading the construction of the new NFL stadium in Los Angeles. Bill Shaikin of the L.A. Times tweets that the company's statement says that it will "move forward" with plans for Farmers Field. But who knows if the buyer will feel as strongly about the project.

The possibility of a sale was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
