New York Jets cornerback Darelle Revis was cleared for contact by team doctors on Thursday morning and is expected to play Sunday in Miami against the Dolphins, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.

Revis reportedly went through a "light" practice on Wednesday before being cleared by the Jets' medical staff. He had suffered a mild concussion in a Week 1 win against the Buffalo Bills when he attempted to tackle C.J. Spiller but was instead kicked in the head by teammate Bart Scott.

He said he wasn't 100-percent in the days leading up to the Jets' Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and head coach Rex Ryan decided to sit him out for that game.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News was at the media session with Ryan, who confirmed that Revis will participate in full contact drills at Thursday's practice.
