The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly already moving on from Doc Rivers, prepared to offer the coaching job to Brian Shaw or Lionel Hollins next week.

On Friday, NBA executives told the Los Angeles Timesthat Rivers to the Clippers would be unlikely, calling it a "far-fetched" possibility.

Rumors of Rivers to the Clippers began to swirl on Saturday morning. The Boston Globe reported that Boston's president of basketball operations, Danny Ainge, has been giving Rivers his space while the coach decides his future with the team. However, the Los Angeles Times also reported that Ainge turned down the Clippers' and Nets' requests to speak with Rivers.

The Boston Globe reported Saturday afternoon that the Clippers and Celtics had a "clear mutual interest" in a transaction involving Rivers and several players.

No details of the trade were made clear, and the latest reports indicate that the "clear mutual interest" in a transaction was fleeting.
