The Nuggets have hired New Orleans assistant general manager Tim Connelly as the team's new general manager, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Dell Demps, the general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans, has called Connelly one of the top young talents in the league and said he has an eye for international talent. Demps hired Connelly as his assistant general manager.

This move comes after the Toronto Raptors hired Nuggets' GM Masai Ujiri at the end of May. Additionally, Pete D'Alessandro, who was Denver's executive vice president for basketball operations, was hired away by the Sacramento Kings to become their new GM.
