American Pharoah is betting favorite at Belmont Stakes
One day ahead of the 147th running of the Belmont Stakes, American Pharoah remains the betting favorite to win the race, according to Bovada.
American Pharoah could clinch the first Triple Crown since 1978 after winning both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
Its challengers include Frosted and Materiality. Frosted finished in fourth at the Kentucky Derby and did not run the Preakness. Eight horses will compete at this year's Belmont, after Carpe Diem and The Truth or Else dropped out of the field.
On Wednesday, American Pharoah drew the No. 5 post position. Frosted will start in the No. 6 position.
In the betting question of “Will American Pharoah win the Belmont Stakes?” on Bovada, “Yes” has -140 odds and “No” has +110 odds.
