Saturday October 31st, 2015

American Pharoah races one last time at the 2015 Breeders’ Cup looking for one last victory to cap off the Triple Crown-winning year.

Pharoah became the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win all three races of the Triple Crown (the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont) with his victory in June.

In late August, Pharoah returned to action but lost to Keen Ice at the Travers Stakes in Saratoga Springs, New York. Keen Ice will also compete at the Breeders’ Cup.

Pharoah will start out of the fourth gate.
