The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to make a contract offer to free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval within the next 24 hours, reports Nick Cafardo of TheBoston Globe

The Blue Jays would join the San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox as teams who have reportedly offered the free agent. Cafardo reported earlier Wednesday that the Red Sox have offered Sandoval.

JAFFE: Is Pablo Sandoval truly worth $100 million contract?

Sandoval met with the Red Sox in Boston this week and has said he wants a six-year contract in free agency. The Red Sox are reportedly "all-in" to sign Sandoval, who could reportedly land a contract worth $90 million to $100 million on the open market.

The Red Sox have also offered free agent pitcher Jon Lester a six-year contract that falls in the $110-$120 million range, reports Cafardo.

A two-time All-Star, Sandoval won three World Series with the Giants, including in 2014 when he batted .279 with 16 home runs and 73 RBI. The 28-year-old has spent his entire seven-year career in San Francisco and has a lifetime .294 average with 106 home runs and 462 RBI.
