A fourth team has shown interest in possibly trying to sign free-agent pitcher Jon Lester, ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports.

The Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants have already made inquiries in trying to sign the 30-year-old left-hander.

According to Stark, rival teams believe that St. Louis Cardinals are interested in Lester as well.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported last week that the Cardinals had “no plans to bring Lester to St. Louis for a visit” and their interest in him “appears as much opportunistic as enthusiastic.”

WEEI reported this week that The Los Angeles Dodgers have “serious” interest in Lester. Lester could command a contract worth $130 million or more when he decides who to pitch for next season.

Lester went 16-11 with a 2.46 ERA last season with the Red Sox and Oakland Athletics, who acquired him at the trading deadline.
