Granger said that he expects to be ready for the season and looks forward to his role with the Heat.

Granger, 31, was signed by the Heat in July. Team president Pat Riley said Miami was looking for a "proven veteran" with "All-Star experience."

Granger has averaged 17.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 32.1 minutes per game in 556 career games. In his time in the league he has also averaged 43.5 percent shooting from the field and 84.9 percent from the foul line.
