The Philadelphia 76ers have named Bryan Colangelo president of basketball operations, the team announced Sunday.

Colangelo replaces Sam Hinkie, who resigned from the roles of general manager and president of basketball operations on Wednesday.

He has previously served as the general manager of the Toronto Raptors and Phoenix Suns, being named NBA Executive of the Year with both franchises.

Colangelo is the son of former Chairman of Basketball Operations Jerry Colangelo, who will now serve as a special advisor to managing general partner Josh Harris.

The Sixers are 10–69 with three games left in the season. Philadelphia has not finished with a winning record since the 2011–12 season.
