The Golden State Warriors tied the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls’ NBA-best wins record by earning their 72nd victory of the season over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night.

Many athletes congratulated the Warriors for their achievement on Twitter, including former Bulls players Scottie Pippen and Ron Harper. Both Pippen and Harper have said they believed their Bulls team would have beat today’s Warriors in a matchup between the two squads, but they put their beliefs aside to commend Golden State.

The Warriors must win their final game of the season on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies in order to set a new wins record.
