Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns will wear one of Flip Saunders’s wedding rings around his neck at the NBA draft lottery Tuesday, he announced on Twitter.

Towns, the NBA Rookie of the Year, was chosen by the Timberwolves as their representative at the event, which will determine the order for the upcoming draft. Minnesota has an 8.8% chance of landing the top pick.

Towns plans to wear the ring of his late coach around his neck, at the suggestion of Saunders's son, Ryan.

The 20-year-old was drafted by Saunders, who passed away in October after a battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
