Hawks center Dwight Howard couldn’t help but tear up at his introductory press conference on Wednesday.

Meeting the media for the first time as a member of the Hawks, Howard began to discuss being back in Atlanta, and starting a “new beginning.” He then mentioned that he would share the moment with his family, and began to cry.

“Ohhh boy,” Howard said, covering his face with his left hand. “I know they’re gonna clown on me later. There’s gonna be some memes.”

Howard couldn’t make it through the rest of the answer.

The 30-year-old agreed to a three-year, $70.5 million contract at the start of free agency. He has averaged 17.8 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks over his 12-year career with the Magic, Lakers and Rockets, but has dropped off a bit over the past two seasons.
