Report: LeBron James agrees to three-year, $100M deal with Cavs
LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a three-year, $100 million contract, reports ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
James remains unsigned, but he re-affirmed Thursday he would be returning to Cleveland.
James returned to Cleveland in 2014, and played the last two seasons on “one-plus-one” contracts, allowing him to opt out each summer. James will make $31 million this season, making him the NBA’s highest-paid player for the first time in his career, reports Windhorst.

James’s salary reportedly will reach $33 million in 2017–18, the largest single-season amount in league history.
James is a three-time NBA champion, three-time NBA Finals MVP, four-time MVP, 12-time All-Star and the Cavaliers’ all-time leading scorer. SI named James Sportsman of the Year in 2012.
