Ex-Teammate Thinks LeBron James Attempts Improbable Move If Lakers, Bronny’s USC Debut Overlap

LeBron James made plenty of headlines while discussing his son, Bronny James, nearing his potential collegiate debut with USC. The Lakers forward told reporters last week that if he has a game when Bronny’s set for his debut, he’ll “catch [his teammates] next game,” while (rightfully) pointing out family always coming first.

But James’s former teammate, Danny Green, has a bold prediction for how the situation might actually play out. Green said he thinks the future Hall-of-Famer is too much of a “workaholic” to miss a game and, instead, believes LeBron would try to get to the USC game and play in his own game if need be.

“[LeBron James] is such a workaholic, I don’t think he believes himself when he was saying it… He’s going to try to do both if he can,” Green said while joining FanDuel’s NBA show Run It Back.

For good measure, Green, along with hosts Michelle Beadle and Lou Williams, all agreed that if James were to miss a Lakers game to see his son’s debut, it would be a complete non-issue.

But James navigating two late-night tips for both USC and the Lakers while managing to make both happen would be a pretty incredible sight if he did opt to attempt it.
