Rob Gronkowski had knee surgery in January.

"All signs point toward" tight end Rob Gronkowski being ready to play in the Patriots' Week 1 matchup at Miami, Paul Perillo reported on Patriots.com.

In January, he had surgery on a torn ACL in his right knee. He tore both his ACL and MCL in a game against the Browns last December.

MMQB: Catching up with CFL's Chad Johnson

The 25-year-old two-time Pro Bowler has been limited to just 18 games the past two seasons and will likely open training camp on the PUP list after being limited to individual workouts at OTAs.

He's been rehabbing at the Pats' facility this summer and an update on the status of his health will likely be provided once training camp opens toward the end of July.
