Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested Monday night for allegedly shoplifting from a Dallas-area mall, Naheed Rajwani of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Randle, 22, was a fifth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2013 out of Oklahoma State. In six games this season, he has 16 carries for 113 yards, including a season-high 52 yards during Sunday's win against the Seattle Seahawks.

Police said Randle allegedly shoplifted from a Dillard's at Stonebriar Mall. From Rajwani:

Police were called to the Dillard’s at 8:17 p.m. Monday, said Frisco police spokesman Chad LaPrelle. The store’s loss prevention employees had detained Randle, who was later charged with theft, a Class B misdemeanor.

Randle was released from Frisco City Jail early Tuesday after posting bail.

Frisco Police Lt. Jason Jenkins told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com that the items Randle tried to steal were underwear and cologne. MacMahon also posted the arrest report, and Randle is quoted saying, "Alright, y'all got me" when approached by police. The report also says the total value of the stolen items was $123.50 before tax.

Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegramreports video surveillance showed Randle shoplifting.

Randle is the team's third-string running back behind league-leading rusher DeMarco Murray and third-year pro Lance Dunbar.

The Cowboys have started the season 5-1. The team hosts the New York Giants on Sunday.
