Bush was released by the Detroit Lions last month after spending two seasons with the team. In 2014, Bush ran for 297 yards and two touchdowns with 253 receiving yards in 11 games. In Bush's first season in Detroit in 2013, he ran for 1006 yards with four touchdowns and added 506 receiving yards.
[daily_cut.NFL]Prior to being released, Bush said he wanted to be back with the Lions in 2015, saying he thinks he still has "a lot left to give this game." Bush had two years remaining on his contract and was scheduled to make $3.5 million next season and $4 million in 2016.
Bush is a former No. 2 draft pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2006 out of USC and spent the first five seasons of his career with the Saints. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2011, running for a career-high 1086 yards and six touchdowns in his first year there.
At USC, Bush won the Heisman Trophy in 2005, which he later forfeited after the NCAA found he received illegal benefits during his time with the Trojans.
