Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso made the play of the year so far on ESPN's Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons.

With 5:50 left in the first quarter and Atlanta ahead 3–0 at the Georgia Dome, Alonso made an impressive one-handed catch to intercept Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in the end zone.

Alonso, who was the PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2013, is in his first season with the Eagles. He was traded to Philadelphia this off-season in exchange for LeSean McCoy.

Alonso missed the entire 2014 season with a torn ACL.

He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2013 draft.
