Police have opened an investigation into a brawl between 49ers fans and a Vikings fan that took place outside Levi’s Stadium on Monday night, Fox Sports reports.

A video captured multiple 49ers fans violently beating a man dressed in a Vikings jersey after San Francisco’s 20–3 win over Minnesota.

The 49ers issued a statement on Tuesday about the incident.

“We are aware of the disturbing incident following last night's game and are working in collaboration with the Santa Clara Police Department to investigate,” the statement reads. “The 49ers and our public safety partners have a steadfast commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors to Levi's Stadium and unacceptable behavior such as this will not be tolerated.”

In the video, two men in 49ers jerseys are seen kicking a man in a Vikings jersey while he lays on the ground. A third man in a black shirt is on top of the Vikings fan, punching him in the face.

The Vikings fan tries to get away, but the 49ers fans follow him, continuing to kick him. A security guard and other San Francisco fans eventually break up the fight and help the Vikings fan to his feet.
