Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin has been excused from traveling with the team to London for personal reasons, coach Rex Ryan told the Buffalo News.

The Bills face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, but Harvin is not expected to play and is not currently in England with the team.

Harvin did not play in Buffalo’s Week 6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a hip injury, but Ryan said the injury was not the reason Harvin would sit out this Sunday.

“No, I think right now this is a personal thing right now,” Ryan said. “That’s where it is. … We know he was battling the hip and things but this is a personal issue.”

Ryan said on Sunday that one player encountered a problem with his visa. He did not indicate on Wednesday whether that player was Harvin nor would he elaborate on his status.

“I’m not going to touch any of it,” Ryan said. “I’ll just leave it where it is right now.”

Running back Karlos Williams (concussion), right tackle Seantrel Henderson (concussion) and defensive tackle Kyle Williams (knee) also did not make the trip.

Kickoff between the Bills and the Jaguars is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
