Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon’s status for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints is in doubt after the rookie told reporters on Wednesday that he has a sprained MCL.

Yeldon did not practice, and instead stood off to the side on crutches wearing a brace on his right knee. However, he wouldn’t rule himself out Sunday’s contest.

The injury to Yeldon came in last Sunday’s 51–16 win over the Indianapolis Colts, where he rushed 11 times for 62 yards.

The team signed Jonas Gray this week from the Dolphins’ practice squad to reinforce the backfield, though it’s likely that Denard Robinson will start if Yeldon is unable to play.

Kickoff between the Jaguars and Saints is set for 1 p.m. ET.
