Report: NFL ‘actively’ looking into Aqib Talib shooting

The NFL is investigating the nightclub incident that left Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib hospitalized with gunshot wounds, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The league is ‘actively’ investigating the circumstances of Talib’s shooting at Dallas club V Live early Sunday. He was one of three people shot, none of whom suffered life-threatening injuries. Talib reportedly only needed stitches in his leg in wake of the incident.
Schefter reports the Broncos immediately informed the league of what happened, and that according to a source, “NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t like guns in the hands of intoxicated players, and he especially doesn’t like guns in the hands of intoxicated players who have a history with guns like Talib has.”
Talib, 30, was charged with firing a gun at his sister’s boyfriend while a member of the Buccaneers in 2011, though the chargers were later dropped. He has a history of off-field run-ins with the law, also including the alleged battering of a taxi driver in 2009.
Talib is a three-time Pro Bowler and was an integral part of the Broncos defense that helped lead the franchise to a victory over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
