Claude Giroux put the team (and Matt Bartkowski) on his back.
Early in the second period of Monday night's game in Vancouver with the Canucks leading 1-0, Giroux showed off his immense strength and skill to tie the game.
Jakub Voracek connected with Giroux at the blue line to send him in one-on-one with Bartkowski, and the Flyers captain put together a remarkable individual effort. He caught the pass, set his edges to completely out-muscle Bartkowski, and finished it off with a forehand-backhand-roof deke on Ryan Miller.
Giroux is off to a slow start offensively this season. He now has four goals and two assists for six points in 11 games.
