Chanel Leszczynski, the girlfriend of Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on charges of domestic violence on Sunday, reportsLa Presse.

Galchenyuk hosted a party at his home after the Canadiens' 3–1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night when Leszczynski arrived and had a violent incident with him.

Leszczynski was arrested as the instigator of the fight. Galchenyuk did not press charges.

Teammate Devante Smith-Pelley was also in attendance at the party. Several other friends who were there dialed 911 for assistance.

The 22-year-old forward has 27 points, including 10 goals, in 43 games this season as the Canadiens (23–17–3) hold third place in the Atlantic Division.
