Demi Mitchell may find it difficult breaking into Manchester United's star-studded first team this season, but he did what he could to open Jose Mourinho's eyes with his game-winning goal for the club's reserves on Monday.

Mitchell's 25-yard lob straight off a long, bounding pass from his goalkeeper was the difference in a 1-0 win over Leicester City's reserves. After making a save, Sam Johnstone picked out a streaking Mitchell down the left channel. The 19-year-old, who came off the bench in the 69th minute, measured the ball and caught Leicester's keeper off his line, seeing his opportunity. What resulted was a slick finish on the half volley and a Premier League 2 victory for the Red Devils.

Manchester United's reserves take on Southampton next week at St. Mary's, while the senior squad hosts the Saints Friday in what is expected to be Paul Pogba's first match since returning after a four-year stay at Juventus.
