Atletico Madrid and Sporting de Gijon will face off Saturday at Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid. 

Atletico is coming off a stellar season, but the club has collected just five points in its first three domestic games of the new campaign. Earlier this week, manager Diego Simeone confirmed his contract had been shortened by two years. 

Sporting de Gijon is in third place in La Liga with seven points after recording victories over Athletic Bilbao and Leganes. The club also drew with Alaves.
