This penalty by New Jersey Devils forward Steve Bernier that led directly to three Los Angeles Kings goals and a commanding three-goal advantage over the Devils at the end of the first period of Game 6 in the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Devils' Bernier delivered this hit to Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi, earning a boarding penalty — a five-minute major — and a game misconduct. The penalty completely changed the flow of the game, as Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter and Trevor Lewis all scored goals for the Kings. They all scored within four minutes of each other. Scuderi was cut on his face, but he re-entered the game in the second period.
