Olympian Mo Farah voices support for Muhammad Ali knighthood
British distance running star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah joined the campaign to honor Muhammad Ali with knighthood on Thursday, according to the Evening Standard.
Farah joins the list of more than 20,000 people who have signed the petition started by former heavyweight champion David Haye on Feb. 23.
Ali, 74, was supposed to travel to London to open the "I Am The Greatest" show Thursday, but could not make the trip due to his health. Instead, his wife Lonnie spoke on behalf of Ali.
Farah also spoke at the event honoring Ali’s legacy.

“Muhammad Ali is a legend, in every way, and he thoroughly deserves this honor,” Farah said.
Farah joins names like London Mayor Boris Johnson and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua who have already thrown their weight behind the petition.
