Bob Huggins Among 2022 Naismith Hall of Fame Inductees

The West Virginia coach has more wins than any other Bearcat leader in team history.

CINCINNATI — A legendary former Bearcats coach is going into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this year. Bob Huggins is a part of the 2022 induction class along with WNBA icon Swin Cash, NBA stars Manu Ginobili and Tim Hardaway, and former longtime NBA head coach George Karl.

Huggins has logged 844 career wins, ranking eighth all-time among NCAA coaches. He is Cincinnati's all-time leader in wins and is second to Ed Jucker with a 74.7% win rate during his 16 seasons helming the program from 1990-2005.

After spending one year at Kansas State, Huggins has been coaching West Virginia since 2007. He's coached 514 games in Morgantown and will eclipse his games coached at Cincinnati in 2022-23. The two-time NCAA Coach of the Year goes into the hall on Sept. 10.
