Yorman Bazardo, Astros Bazardo, 25, has a live arm and can start and relieve. He will make a few starts with Mike Hampton on the DL and should be monitored, possibly selected in NL-only league by teams desperate for pitching help. He is not a top prospect though.

Freddy Garcia, White SoxGarcia, 33, joins the rotation but was hit hard in his first start. He has made only 14 starts since 2007 due to shoulder problems. Pass for now.

Carlos Marmol, Cubs Marmol was named the new closer. When he is on, he is dominant; when he is off; he walks everybody. He was dominant as a setup man the last two years though.

Matt LaPorta, IndiansLaPorta, 24, will get another chance at left field. He was batting .299-17-60 with 23 doubles and a .388 OBP at AAA Columbus. He batted just .190 (8-for-42) with one homer and 11 strikeouts in his first stint with the Tribe but remains a top prospect. Grab him now.

Travis Snider, Blue JaysSnider, 21, was recalled to play left field the rest of the way. He was hitting .337 with 14 homers and 40 RBIs in 48 games with AAA Las Vegas despite missing time with a shoulder injury. He batted .242 with three homers in 99 at-bats with the Jays earlier this year. His defense is barely average but the bat is what will keep him in the majors for a long time. Recommended.

Drew Stubbs, Reds Stubbs, 24, was recalled to start in center field until Willy Taveras comes back and is worth a flier in NL-only leagues for his speed. He is hitting .268 in 411 at-bats for AAA Louisville. He leads the International League with 46 stolen bases and is a top defensive outfielder with a strong arm.
