Tiger Woods Absolutely Blown Away By Son Charlie’s Flop-Shot Technique: ‘F—ing Nasty’
They’re back: Tiger Woods and his 14-year-old son, Charlie, officially have stepped foot on property at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando for the 2023 PNC Championship.
The father-son duo is making a fourth consecutive start at the 36-hole family team tournament. On Friday morning, they arrived on site just in time for Friday’s Pro-Am and got right to practicing.
After hitting the range, the elder Woods met his son at the short game area. They were on the verge of making their way to the first tee when Charlie hit a shot that stopped Tiger in his tracks.
Setting up with a wide open club face and an athletic stance, Charlie took a full backswing and effortlessly executed a perfect flop shot. If you listen closely, you can hear the bounce of Charlie’s wedge thumping against the wet turf—the key to a controlled, high-lofted chip.
The 15-time major champion insisted that Charlie walk away after the shot and conclude his practice session on a positive note.
“We’re ending on that one right there. That was nasty!” said the five-time Masters champion. “F–king nasty!”

The elder Woods walked away chuckling and grinning ear to ear while mimicking his son’s wedge motion with his hand. Now that is a proud dad moment if we’ve ever seen one.
