Photos: Folsom football beats Oak Ridge for Sac-Joaquin Section D1 championship
If Ryder Lyons hadn't cemented his name on all 2026 recruiting lists, he certainly did after rescuing Folsom in Friday's Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 title game at Hughes Stadium on the campus of Sacramento City College.
The rugged and rangy 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback, with 15 college offers already, accounted for 316 yards and all five touchdowns including a game-winning 10-yard run with 34 seconds to play, lifting the Bulldogs (11-2) to their 12th section crown, third straight and 10th since 2010.
"I love these guys so much, and we live for moments like this," Lyons told Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee.

Lyons opened his team's scoring with a 17-yard run and added three touchdown passes to three different receivers before scoring the game winner. Oak Ridge got a stellar performance from quarterback Joaquin Graves-Mercado who opened the scoring with a long touchdown pass to Jadon Anderson to open the scoring.
Folsom rattled off the next 20, only for Oak Ridge to reel of 13 of its own to tie the game at 20-20. The teams exchanged TDs before Lyons' final heroics. He had 411 yards passing and accounted for five touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Oak Ridge earlier in the season.
Oak Ridge, which lost for the 21st straight time to Folsom since 2006, including 23-13 in last year's section title game, finished 10-3.
