Look: Pittsburg's 37-21 win over San Ramon Valley for NCS D1 title is photogenic

The Pirates of Pittsburg weren't very pleased getting the third seed in the North Coast Section Open/Division I football bracket.
Under first-hear head coach Charlie Ramirez, Pittsburg went 10-0 in the regular season and for more than half the year were barely challenged.
The Pirates were particularly curious why they were seeded behind San Ramon Valley, a 9-1 team, a squad it had beat four out of five times since 2008.
Jamar Searcy, Pittsburg beat San Ramon Valley 37-21 for North Coast Section D1 title: Live game recap
After two lopsided playoff wins, the Pirates handled business in Friday's Division I finals with an impressive 37-21 win at Dublin High School. They got three touchdowns from Jamar Searcy, a 99-yard touchdown pass from Marley Alcantara to Bobby Shaw and the defense forced three turnovers. It helped overcome two touchdown passes from Luke Baker and a 39-yard pick 6 by Marco Jones.
The game was filled with big plays, spectacular efforts and emotion. Ramirez, the team's defensive coordinator for more than a decade under Vic Galli, who retired after last season's NorCal Division 1-A championship campaign, was understandably ecstatic. Even after getting doused with ice water.
