CIF Southern Section Girls Flag Football 2026 Playoff Pairings, Brackets

The playoff brackets for girls flag football in the CIF Southern Section are now live!

JSerra girls flag football will enter the CIF Southern Section 2026 playoffs the No. 1 seed in Division 1. | Jim Malone

The CIF Southern Section released the girls flag football playoff pairings for the 2026 postseason Friday afternoon.

The regular season officially ended Wednesday, October 14. The opening round of action is scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 20. The Open Division starts Wednesday, October 21. The CIF finals are set for Saturday, November 7.

JSerra, which is the No. 1 seed entering this fall's postseason, is the defending Division 1 champion after taking down Orange Lutheran 25-20 in the final last season. The Lions have won 50 straight games which includes winning the Chargers and MaxPreps Invitational this season.

Can they keep the streak alive? Only time will tell ...

Open Division Playoff Pairings

Each team will get a guarantee of two games before the winners of each pool are put into a semifinal on October 31. The two winners will play in the final on November 7 at Huntington Beach High School.

There's a new wrinkle to this year's girls flag football playoffs. The Southern Section made the top division an Open Division, which not only adds luster to the field, but makes it unique because of its format. Unlike a traditional win-or-go-home format, the Open Division will be made up of 12 teams broken up into four pools of three.
