National High School Football Live Score Updates: Power 25 Teams Take Center Stage

The first major Friday night of the 2026 high school football season has arrived, and many of the nation's best teams are in action from Florida to Utah and Nevada.

High School On SI is tracking live scores and updates from teams in the preseason Power 25 national rankings, with several marquee matchups highlighting Friday night's schedule. No. 1 IMG Academy travels to Utah to face Lone Peak, while No. 4 St. John Bosco and No. 7 Bishop Gorman collide in one of the night's biggest national showdowns.

Elsewhere, No. 10 Mater Dei faces American Fork in Utah, No. 8 Santa Margarita meets Florida power Jones and No. 14 Sierra Canyon opens against JSerra. Several other ranked teams have already made statements, including No. 21 Thompson, which defeated Central-Phenix City 41-14 Thursday behind four touchdown passes from Alabama commit Trent Seaborn.

No. 1 IMG Academy (FL) 59, Lone Peak (UT) 3

Top-ranked IMG Acadmey scored early and often in Utah, invoking a running clock early. The Ascenders roll to a 59-3 win to start their 2026 season. Vince Howard's a 93-yard punt return for a touchdown was one of many big highlights.

No. 2 St. Frances Academy (MD)

No. 3 Buford (GA) vs. Gainesville (GA)

No. 7 Bishop Gorman (NV) 38, No. 4 St. John Bosco (CA) 28

Bishop Gorman dominated early, building a 21-0 lead at halftime, as Ace Amina tossed a pair of touchdown passes and the Gaels scored a defensive touchdown. St. John Bosco staged a comeback behind a pair of touchdowns, including a punt return for a score, from DJ Tubbs, and eventually tied the game, 28-28. Amina, however, finished with four touchdown throws and Gorman regained control on its way to the 38-28 victory.

No. 5 St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) 42, Western (FL) 0

The Raiders defense pitched a shutout the team scores 21 points in each half to capture a 42-0 season opening win.

No. 6 Centennial (CA) 41, Servite (CA) 21

Centennial opened its season on Thursday, Aug. 20 and scored a 41-21 victory over Servite. Quarterback Jaden Jefferson accounted for our touchdowns – two passing and two receiving - to lead the way.

No. 8 Santa Margarita (CA) 27, Jones (FL) 0

Jones has hung tough, but the Santa Margarita defense has not budged. The Eagles got a pair of touchdown throws from Fletch Palmer, son of head coach Carson Palmer, and rushed for a pair of scores as they blanked the Tigers, 27-0.

No. 9 Baylor (TN) 38, No. 23 Brentwood Academy (TN) 38-20

Tennessee commit David Gabriel Georges turned in a dominant performance to lead the Red Raiders, rushing for 172 rushing yards and three fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns, as Baylor topp its nationally-ranked state rival, 38-20, on Thursday, Aug. 20.

No. 10 Mater Dei 31, American Fork (UT) 11

After Mater Dei scored 17 second quarter points to build a 17-3 halftime lead over American Fork, the Monarchs added a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns and left Utah with a 31-11 season-opening victory.

Sandy Creek (GA) 21, No. 12 Grayson (GA) 13

Sandy Creek trailed 7-0 early but battled back for a 14-3 lead before a long weather delay. It then scored right after the game resumed and withstood a later Grayson surge to pull off a 21-13 victory. The Rams fall to 0-2.

No. 14 Sierra Canyon (CA) 42, JSerra (CA) 21

Sierra Canyon scored a pair of touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and cruised to a 42-21 season-opening victory.

No. 15 Carrollton (GA) 55, Rome (GA) 7

Wide receiver Darrell McFadden led an explosive Carrollton offense with eight receptions for 87 yards and touchdown as the Trojans overpowered Rome, 55-7.

No. 16 DeSoto (TX)

Idle - Season opener Aug. 29 at No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) in Broward National Showcase

Clay-Chalkville (AL) 22, No. 17 Creekside (GA) 20

Clay-Chalkville, on the road in Georgia, led a title battle with Creekside, 22-20, when weather halted the contest with 9:55 left in the fourth quarter. The contest never resumed so it will go down as a win for the Alabama school.

No. 18 Dom Bosco Prep (NJ)

No. 19 Chaminade-Madonna (FL) 49, Monarch (FL) 21

Purdue commit Amos Bradford scored the Lions' first two touchdowns, and four-star quarterback Brady Quinn threw three touchdown passes as Chaminade-Madonna, rolled to a 49-21 win its season opener.

No. 20 Brownsburg (IN) 48, Lawrence North (IN) 25

Brownsburg has battled back from a 19-14 halftime deficit, with 28 third quarter points, and the Bulldogs pulled away for the 48-25 season opening win.

No. 21 Thompson (AL) 41, Central-Phenix City (AL) 14

Alabama commit Trent Seaborn threw four touchdown passes as the defending state champion Warriors broke open a close game and rolled to a 41-14 season-opening victory.

No. 22 Carol City (FL) 38, Mainland (FL) 3

Carol City scored shortly after a long weather delay and its defense was impressive throughout. The offense and special teams also came up back as the Chiefs finished a 38-3 win.

No. 24 Mount Carmel (Chicago) at East St. Louis (IL)
