Michigan Athlete of the Week
Andrew Schuster, Chippewa Valley
Senior quarterback Andrew Schuster had once again a showing for Chippewa Valley as he led them to a 45-12 win over Romeo. Schuster completed 16 of his 23 passes, for 285 passing yards, and threw five passing touchdowns, while adding a rushing touchdown.
Billy Roberson, Lake Orion
Roberson had a great performance in a 42-21 victory against Clarkston. He had 32 rushes for 228 yards and three touchdowns.
Luke Foco, Reese
Foco was a defensive and offensive star for Reese in a 40-0 win against Caro. He had nine tackles and 181 yards and two touchdowns. Those touchdowns were runs of 90 and 70 yards.
Brick Sandridge, Warren Cousino
Sandridge passed for 259 yards and four touchdowns in a win against Warren Woods Tower, 35-7.
Kyler Maiorana, Sterling Heights Parkway Christian
Maiorana was a star on both sides of the ball. He rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown. He also accumulated nine tackles and forced a fumble on defense in a win against Whitmore Lake.
Preston Crum, Utica Eisenhower
Crum threw four touchdown passes in a 31-0 win over Macomb Dakota.
Carson Carswell, Mason
Junior quarterback Carson Carswell completed 10 of his 14 passes for 238 passing yards, and five passing touchdowns, while also adding 38 rushing yards.
Brian Booms, Flat Rock
Booms recorded six touchdowns runs and 253 yards for a 49-21 win against Milan.
Jaxon Childers, Benzie Central
Senior wide receiver/running back Jaxon Childers had an all-around game for Benzie Central in their big win over Oscoda. Childers ran the ball eight times for 133 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns, while also catching two receptions, for 101 yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
Jake Hascall, Otisville LakeVille
Sophomore quarterback Jake Hascall had himself a career performance for Otisville LakeVille as they defeated Genesee, 58-20. Hascall completed 20 of his 30 passes while setting a school record of 452 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Jaxson Engelberg, Caledonia
Junior Jaxson Engelberg continues to impress for Caledonia with his big performance despite their 38-34 loss to Grandville. On the offensive side, Engelberg racked up seven pancake blocks while compiling 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack on the defensive end.
Tashi Braceful, Southfield A&T
Senior wide receiver Tashi Braceful caught six receptions for 103 receiving yards, two touchdowns to help Southfield A&T over Rochester, 25-13.
Luke Johnson, Oxford
Junior running back/middle linebacker Luke Johnson was phenomenal for Oxford as they fell to West Bloomfield, 38-19. Johnson ran for 134 rushing yards on 22 attempts, and two rushing touchdowns, while totaling 15 tackles, and one forced fumble on the defensive side.
Kellen Russell-Dixon, Grand Rapids Catholic Central
Senior Kellen Russell-Dixon had a dynamic performance carrying the ball 17 times for 270 rushing yards and four touchdowns as Grand Rapids Catholic Central knocked off Forest Hills Eastern, 49-14.
Jacob Tuttle, Notre Dame Prep
Tuttle led Notre Dame Prep to a 56-21 win over Gladwin. He went 11-of-13 for 157 yards and four touchdowns, and he also rushed for two touchdowns.
Isaiah Harris, Saline
Sophomore defensive end Isaiah Harris totaled nine tackles, while racking up three sacks for Saline as they defeated Ypsilanti Lincoln, 31-0.
Dallas Walsh, Millington
Junior running back/linebacker Dallas Walsh was impressive for Millington in their win against Midland Bullock Creek, 32-10. Walsh ran for 163 yards on 14 attempts with three touchdowns, while compiling 14 tackles and an interception on defense.
Allie Davison, Marian
In girls volleyball, sophomore Allie Davison put up a great performance despite Marian’s 3-1 loss to Mercy. Davison notched a double-double as she totaled 40 assists, and 14 digs, along with seven aces, and two kills.
Cassie Jenema, Cadillac
Junior Cassie Jenema notched a double-double as Cadillac fell to Traverse City Central, 3-2. Jenema finished the match with 33 assists and 13 digs, as well as one ace and one kill.
Navea Gauthier, Shelby
Junior Navea Gauthier continues to impress with her skill as Shelby defeated North Muskegon, 3-0. Gauthier finished with 30 kills, 16 digs, and eight aces.
Kyle Webb, Forest Hills Central
In boys soccer, senior Kyle Webb helped Forest Hills Central over Greenville, 11-0. Webb finished the game notching a hat trick and he scored three goals along with three assists.
Parker Hawes, Community Baptist Christian
Junior Parker Hawes notched a hat trick himself as he finished with three goals in Community Baptist Christian’s 10-1 win over Immanuel Baptist.
