Essence Cody, Valdosta
Cody has the length and prowess to clean up inside and the ability to step outside for the occasional 3-pointer. Considered one of the top recruits in her class, the 6-foot-3 junior holds offers from Mississippi State, North Carolina State, Tennessee and more.
Maddie Erickson, North Forsyth
In addition to making an impact inside blocking shots and battling for rebounds, Erickson is a strong finisher near the hoop. The 6-foot-1 Flagler signee posted eight points, 10 rebounds and one block in the Raiders’ win over Gainesville on Feb. 4.
Jessica Fields, Mount Paran
With her size and diverse skill set, Fields can play multiple positions, though she does most of her work down low for a talent-laden Mount Paran team. The 6-foot-1 freshman finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks in the Eagles’ win over Cherokee on Dec. 28. Fields has picked up offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State and more.
Bryana Hardy, Lovejoy
At 6-foot-2, Hardy is an athletic post player who protects the rim for Lovejoy. The senior excels in the low post but can also step out and shoot, and she pairs up well with teammate Layla Hood inside.
Ava Hunter, Union County
A dominant post player, Hunter has the size and strength to play down low and the touch to shoot from mid-range. The 6-foot North Georgia signee added 14 points and eight rebounds against Rabun Gap on Feb. 8.
Saniya Jones, Duluth
A rim protector who does a great job fighting for rebounds on both ends of the court, Jones is a common mismatch for defenders in the low post. The 6-foot-4 senior averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game during the regular season.
Simone Lett, Alpharetta
Lett controls the paint with her ability to rebound and work from the post. The 6-foot-1 senior tallied 26 points and nine rebounds in a win over Lambert on Feb. 5.
Ava McGlockton, South Forsyth
McGlockton is active on the boards, and offensively, she’s money from mid-range and attacks the basket with confidence. The 6-foot-1 junior led the War Eagles with 18 points in a win over Gainesville on Feb. 1.
Casey Miller, Woodstock
Strong and physical with quick feet, Miller is a problem in the post for defenders. The 6-foot-2 junior went for 28 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Roswell on Feb. 1. Prior to the season, Miller picked up her first college offers from Hampton and UNC Asheville.
Brianna Pelote, Woodville-Tompkins
Pelote is a shot-blocking machine who can take over the game with her two-way ability. The 6-foot-2 sophomore had two triple-doubles in a row this season, and she averaged 15.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 5.5 blocks per game.
Tamori Plantin, Buford
Plantin plays with high energy on the boards and is more than comfortable working in the pick and roll. The Western Carolina signee posted 12 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to Brookwood, the top-ranked team in the state.
Sofia Reyes, River Ridge
Reyes is a smart and tough defender who controls the paint for one of the top teams in the state, doing many things that won’t show up in stat sheets. The 6-foot-2 senior recently picked up an offer from Georgia College.
Detavia Salter, Bainbridge
With quick hands and length, Salter causes problems for teams, especially on defense. The 6-foot-3 Mercer signee put up 11.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game for the Bearcats (16-9) in the regular season.
Lazaria Spearman, Dacula
Listed at 6-foot-4, Spearman’s length helps her dominate inside, but she’s also a pure shooter who can score off the dribble. A highly sought-after recruit, Spearman signed to play for the Miami Hurricanes.
Trynce Taylor, St. Francis
A versatile big who can go coast to coast for a bucket and moves well without the ball, Taylor can impact the game in several ways. The 6-foot-2 junior had nine points, 13 rebounds and five steals in a win over Arlington (Tennessee) on Jan. 8.
Sa’Mya Wyatt, St. Francis
Athletic with quick feet and a quick release, Wyatt makes it look easy as she gets to her spots. The 6-foot-1 sophomore led the Knights to a win over Arlington with 28 points, six rebounds and four steals.
