Ohio high school football playoffs 2023: Division III brackets, matchups, predictions for regional semifinals

The OHSAA football playoffs continues last week with 224 teams vying for a state title throughout Ohio's seven divisions.

We are now down to 112 teams, with four teams left in each region and 16 teams remaining in each division.

All regional semifinal games will be played on Friday, Nov. 10 at a neutral site determined by the OHSAA. The state semifinal pairings will be announced following the regional finals..

The seven OHSAA football State championship games will be played in Canton at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium from Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

Here, we will take a look at the teams remaining in each region of Division III, along with the matchups and predictions of the regional semifinals and a reminder of our prediction on who will win each region, which was made prior to the beginning of the postseason.

Division III, Region 9

Teams remaining: 1. Ursuline, 3. Aurora, 5. Villa Angela-St. Joseph 7. Chardon 

Regional semifinal matchups and locations: 

1 Youngstown Ursuline (12-0) vs. 5 Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph (9-3) at Alliance Marlington High School Stadium

7 Chardon (9-3) vs. 3 Aurora (11-1) at Mentor High School Jerome T. Osborne Stadium

Predicted regional semifinal winners: Ursuline and Aurora 

Predicted region winner: Ursuline

Division III, Region 10

Teams remaining: 1. Toledo Central Catholic, 3. Columbian, 4. Mansfield Senior, 7. Buckeye 

Regional semifinal matchups and locations:

1 Toledo Central Catholic (12-0) vs. 4 Mansfield Senior (10-2) at Clyde High School Robert J. Bishop Jr. Stadium

7 Medina Buckeye (10-2) vs. 3 Tiffin Columbian (10-2) at Bellevue High School First National Bank Field

Predicted regional semifinal winners: Toledo Central Catholic and Columbian 

Predicted region winner: Toledo Central Catholic

Division III, Region 11

Teams remaining: 1. Bishop Watterson, 3. Granville, 5. Bloom-Carroll, 7. Bellefontaine

Regional semifinal matchups and locations:

1 Columbus Bishop Watterson (11-1) vs. 5 Carroll Bloom-Carroll (10-2) at Ashville Teays Valley High School Viking Stadium

3 Granville (12-0) vs. 7 Bellefontaine (10-2) at London High School Bowlus Field

Predicted regional semifinal winners: Bishop Watterson and Granville

Division III, Region 12

Teams remaining: 1. Badin, 2. Tippecanoe, 5. Wapakoneta, 6. Celina

2 Tipp City Tippecanoe (10-2) vs. 6 Celina (10-2) at Sidney High School Memorial Stadium
