Boyd walks off against Maypearl in 3A Texas (UIL) baseball state semifinals (photos)
ROUND ROCK, Texas — After a bases-loaded sac fly made it a one-run game again, senior third baseman Aidan LeMasters stepped into the batters' box for Boyd.
LeMasters squared up a pitch that he drove into right field with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
His line drive into the outfield drove in the game-tying run from third and the winning run from second, as the Boyd Yellowjackets walked off to beat the Maypearl Tigers in a dramatic 8-7 comeback win in the Class 3A state semifinals Friday morning at Dell Diamond.
