We're one step away from state championship week in 2024 Texas high school football, as the semifinal round kicks off Thursday, Dec. 12.

Most of the action takes place Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14.

The state quarterfinal round of the UIL playoffs was full of close games, and you have to expect more of the same as we get down to the best of the best teams in Texas.

The UIL state football playoffs last more than a month. The opening round of the playoffs (bi-districts) started Nov. 14-16, followed by five more consecutive rounds culminating with state championship week Dec. 18-21.
