WASHINGTON NOMINEES
Trey Bosman, Lynden Christian football: Hosting No. 1 Napavine (2B), the Lyncs got a record-setting effort from their linebacker, who had two interception returns (62, 53 yards) for touchdowns in a win. That was a first-time achievement in school's storied history.
Cole Brooke, Bothell football: Has seized the starting running back job - and run with it. Had a 27-yard touchdown catch in a win over Skyline. Has totaled four touchdowns in his past three games.
Jason Brown Jr., O'Dea football: On the short list of state player of the year candidates at the midway point, the senior led the Fighting Irish's win over Eastside Catholic - 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including a 61-yard score in the second half.
Kyson Douglas, Puyallup football: Team's top receiver had nine carries for a career-high 175 yards and four touchdowns, and added two catches for 51 yards in Viks' win over intra-district rival Rogers of Puyallup.
Lauren Dreves, Columbia River girls volleyball: In a matchup of last year's Class 2A title match, the two-time defending state champions got a big outing from their star - 21 kills and 11 digs - in their three-game sweep over Ridgefield.
Pierson Lameh, Prairie football: The senior was simply unstoppable - a career-high 338 rushing yards on 28 carries, including a touchdown plus the game-tying two-point conversion in the Falcons' comeback win over Kelso.
JT Marsh, Cedarcrest football: In back-to-back games, the senior has posted 200-yard receiving games - this time a career-high 219 yards on 13 catches, including four touchdown in a win over Shorecrest. He also had an interception on defense.
Sena Pittman, Issaquah girls cross country: Won her division and posted the overall fastest 3-mile time (19:23.2) at the 50th Sunfair Invitational in Yakima at Franklin Park in Yakima.
Isaac Reyna, Prosser football: It couldn't have better timing for Reyna to switch to cornerback from safety. In his debut, he hauled in three interceptions in the Mustangs' 7-0 win over Ellensburg.
Ashley Roni, Skyline girls soccer: In two key 4A KingCo matches against Bothell and Woodinville, the junior totaled five goals and two assists for the No. 1 Spartans, who remain unbeaten.
Bristol Towle, Ocosta girls soccer: The talented eighth grader scored six goals in two games last week - against Winlock and Ilwaco, then tallied the game-winner in a 1-0 win against Class 1A program Hoquiam.
Johan Valladares, La Salle football: The team's leader and signal caller rushed for 249 yards and four touchdowns, including a 44-yard score that clinched program's first win over Zillah since 2019.
